Like I said in the previous journal entry forever ago, I have decided to write a story called The Queen's Chess Board. Even though I am still working on the character designing (I need like 90-something characters) I wrote the draft of the prologue today. I wanted to know what you guys think of it and what I can do to improve it besides adding more detail and such and if it sounds like it's going to be a good story or not.

2nd Day, 7th Month, 2075th Year, North Antica Palace.

A black envelope written upon with red ink sat on my favorite white marble chess table. The handwriting, I recognized, but I had not seen in twelve years. It was a letter from my younger brother, King Lucifer III of South Antica.
I picked up the black envelope, used my long, light purple fingernail to tear the thin paper, pulled out yet another black paper written upon in red ink, and read:

Dear Queen Isabella IV,
It has been twelve years since we had our little battles over the North and South Kingdoms, my dear sister. The South Kingdom has since fallen into severe poverty and despair, and an even worse economic crisis. I demand that you surrender the North Kingdom to me by the 25th day of the 12th month of the 2076th year. If you do not cede your land by this day, your life and your Kingdom will be taken on that day.

I put the lack paper written upon in red ink down on the white marble chess table and shook my head in disbelief. Zartan Redwood, a good friend of mine, and his kind family, had moved here from the Southern Kingdom of Antica only a few months ago and said everything was perfectly fine in the Southern Kingdom, even the economy. My brother needed not my land for economic purposes, but for his own thirst of power. Lucifer had always wanted more than he needed of everything; and I do mean everything.
I sat down at the chair at my favorite white marble chess table with a matching chess board and set. The chess board had always been my favorite, as well as chess my favorite game and pass time.
I was not going to cede my land to Lucifer, nor would I let him take my life. However, if he was coming to take my life on the birthday of my savior, I needed a stronger defense system.
I looked at my beloved chess board. The White pieces had their backs to me, and the black pieces were looking at me in the eyes. I re-arranged and turned all sixteen black marble chess pieces so the pawns were farthest away from me, and the rooks, knights, bishops, and the King and Queen were closest, along with their backs facing me and the white pieces.
I felt a smile creep slowly across my face.

The Entire story won't be written from Queen Isabella's point of view, I just felt like writing the Prologue from her POV because I like to write in someone else's perspective The rest of the story will be told from 3rd person POV. and, yes, I am a Christian author
